ICT Applications in Disaster Management

Project Description: The SRC is collaborating with the Caribbean Disaster Response Agency (CDERA) and the National Disaster Organizations in the Caribbean to test and analyze the role of ICTs to strengthen community knowledge and support in the collection of post event information for earthquakes in the Eastern Caribbean. This project, funded by the International Development Research Centre of Canada, seeks to enhance the effectiveness of Disaster Management practices in the Caribbean through the identification and testing of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) applications. The project provides funding for a 2-year MPhil student to undertake the work required.
